This restaurant is particularly appealing because of its fantastic playground, which is also very well secured, so you can actually take a breather without worrying about your little ones wandering off. They've thought of everything: climbing, sliding, swinging, digging, and cooling off. You can even see chickens! It won't get boring anytime soon, as there's always something new to discover. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food yet, as we've only had drinks there and enjoyed the playground with our daughter. In short: highly recommended for families with young children!

We held our wedding at Schlagboom. The consultation and scheduling went smoothly. Besides the truly fantastic playground, which our wedding guests thoroughly enjoyed, we also want to highlight the service. We can't understand the negative reviews in this regard. Ms. Ratering herself, as well as the main server for the evening, were always cheerful and did a wonderful job. The food was, as usual, very good, and there were plenty of vegetarian options. All in all, we had a wonderful wedding there and would book Schlagboom again in a heartbeat!

Simply top-notch. Super delicious food at more than reasonable prices. And every meal comes with a super-delicious soup and a unique dessert. There was even an extra ice cream for the kids. And there's also a beautifully landscaped playground for the kids to pass the time during the short wait.

The perfect place to enjoy delicious German cuisine or throw a fantastic party. I've already been there for a wedding, dinner, and a bocce ball party. Always top-notch service, great food, and a spotless venue. The bocce ball party on February 16, 2019, was simply amazing. Superb food, reasonably priced drinks—despite the all-inclusive option—and very attentive service. They even reserved a table especially for my birthday and surprised me with cake and a birthday song. The food was particularly delicious! My friends were absolutely thrilled. Keep up the great work!

Without exaggeration, there's no better restaurant for miles around, suitable for any group size! A very well-maintained establishment, especially for those who appreciate a classic, stylish ambiance and good German cuisine. Highly recommended during asparagus season – absolutely delicious! Excellent value for money. Besides the outstanding food, the outdoor area features a park-like setting, an adventure playground, and a huge free parking lot. For the critics out there, where else can you find that these days? Recommended Sunday lunch menu.

Very nice restaurant a few km outside of Emsbüren towards Schüttorf and the motorway entrance. The menu is manageable, only about 12 dishes including kids menu's. All menu's include a soup starter and a dessert. The quality of the Schnitzel with mushroom sauce was very good. Bottomline, a clear recommendation.
